Overview
Standard:
GB3032-89 Marking of marine piping accessories; CB* 56-83 Flat-shoulder threaded fittings for pipes; CB* 821-84 Threaded fittings for low-pressure pipes; CB 3021-94 Safety technical requirements and performance test methods. The operational performance requirements of safety valves shall be in accordance with CB 3021; the connection size of threaded fittings shall be in accordance with CB* 821 and CB* 56; safety valves shall be mounted plumb in the pipeline; the strength of safety valves shall be in accordance with CB 3021; and the discharge capacity of safety valves shall be in accordance with CB 3021.
Suggestion:
Safety valves are suitable for clean, particle-free, low-viscosity fluids. When a safety valve must be installed in the presence of particles, consideration should be given to installing a filtering device in front of the safety valve. The filtering device must ensure that the performance of the safety valve will not be affected.
Where a safety relief device is required and it is not suitable to install a separate safety valve, a rupture disc or a combination of safety valve and rupture disc may be used.
