CB/T3778 Inject Head

The CB/T3778 inject head is a valve attachment mounted on a Marine sounding pipe that can be used to measure the liquid depth of water and oil tanks. The CB/T3778 injector head is standard CB/T3778-1999. Nominal diameter is DN40~DN150.

Special arrangement of sounding pipe in easy fuel tank

Sounding pipes for easy fuel oil (other than lubricating oil) shall terminate at the end in an open atmosphere where there is no risk of fire arising from possible leakage from the sounding pipe. In particular, its terminal shall not be located in the passenger or crew compartment.

Normally, the sounding tube cannot be terminated in the machine space. If the classification society considers this difficult, the end of the sounding tube can be placed in the machine space, but only if three special requirements are met:

1. Add a liquid level meter that meets the requirements.

2. Unless there are measures, such as effective shelter, to ensure that the fuel spilled from the sounding pipe is not in contact with the fire source, the sounding pipe terminal should be far away from the prone fire danger area.

3. The sounding pipe terminal is equipped with a self-closing blind break device and a small-diameter self-closing control cock, which should be located under the blind break device to ensure that there is no fuel overflow before the blind break device is opened. Measures should also be taken to ensure that the fuel spilled from the cock does not flow into the fire danger area.
