According to the different installation methods of marine capstans, marine capstans can be divided into the following three types: Type A—— The capstan head and prime mover/motor are installed on the deck. Type B —— The capstan head is installed on the deck, and the prime mover/motor is hung upside down below the deck. Type C —— The capstan head and prime mover/motor are installed on two decks respectively.
