A60 Marine Steel Fire Proof Door

A60 Marine Steel Fire Proof Door

Steel fire proof door refers to the use of steel materials to make the door frame, door frame and door panel. If the door is filled with materials, it is filled with non-toxic and harmless fire insulation materials for the human body, and with fireproof hardware accessories composed of a door with a specified fire resistance.

Overview

Fire resistance rating

Fire separation on board refers to the bulkhead or deck built with steel or other equivalent materials and non-combustible materials according to a certain structural form, dividing the ship into several main vertical sections, structurally weakening the heat conduction and enhancing the resistance to thermal radiation.

In order to have sufficient time to detect the source of the fire, extinguish the initial fire, or limit the fire to a certain extent, so that passengers and crew can safely evacuate to the boarding place of the lifeboat, the interior of the ship needs to be delimited by fire resistance according to certain requirements.

Fire resistant partition is divided into A, B, C three levels

  • Class A separation

Bulkhead and deck separation made of steel or other equivalent material, reinforced with appropriate stiffening material, prevents smoke and flame passage at the end of the 60-minute standard fire resistance test.

Class A separators shall be insulated with approved non-combustible materials with an average temperature increase of no more than 140 ° C from the original temperature for a period of 60 minutes, 30 minutes, 15 minutes, or 0 minutes on the backfire side and no more than 180 ° C from the original temperature at any point, including any joint.

  • Class B separation

Bulkheads, decks, ceilings or countersunk panels made of non-combustible materials prevent flame passage at the end of a standard 30-minute fire test.

Class B partitions shall be insulated with approved non-combustible materials, with an average temperature increase of no more than 140 ° C from the original temperature on the backfire side for a period of 15 minutes or 0 minutes, and no more than 225 ° C from the original temperature at any point, including any joint.

  • Class C separation

Made of non-combustible material, it does not need to meet the requirements regarding smoke and flame passage and limiting temperature rise, allowing the use of combustible inserts.

Note: There is actually a fourth, higher grade H.
