A40 Sounding Pipe Head
A40 sounding pipe head is a matching valve attachment installed on the sounding pipe, which is mainly composed of the sounding head body, the sounding pipe head plug and the sealing gasket of the sounding pipe head. The A40 sounding head is available in type A (steel deck). The thread specification of sounding pipe head can be customized according to customer requirements.
Overview
Self-contained and non-self-contained sounding tubes
1. Self-closed sounding pipe: According to the requirements of the code, the closing device of the sounding pipe should be self-closed for the ship that needs to be set with a double bottom. The self-closing device shall be provided with a cylindrical plug with a counterweight.
2. Non-self-closing sounding pipe: The closing device that is not required to be self-closing can be fixed on the pipe by a metal screw cap through a chain or a stop valve.
