HI-SEA MARINE - Marine Calorifier
The marine calorifier plays a crucial role in ships.
Firstly, it provides the crew with hot water necessary for daily life, meeting the crew's needs for washing, bathing, laundry and cleaning, and ensuring the quality of life of the crew at sea.
Secondly, in some special ship equipment and systems, hot water of specific temperatures is also necessary. For instance, for the preheating and cleaning of certain mechanical components, the marine calorifier can offer a stable supply of hot water.
Furthermore, in cold weather conditions, hot water can also be used for heating inside the ship to enhance the comfort of the crew's working and living environment.
There are mainly the following types of marine calorifiers:
1. Marine electrically heated calorifier: It heats water by converting electrical energy into thermal energy. This type of calorifier is relatively simple to operate and easy to control the temperature, but it has a certain reliance on the ship's power supply.
2. Marine steam-heated calorifier: It uses the steam generated by the ship's own steam system to heat the water. This type is more common on large merchant ships or steam-powered ships because it can fully utilize the existing steam resources of the ship and improve energy utilization efficiency.
3. Marine electrically heated and steam-heated calorifier: Some calorifiers adopt a combination of electric heating and steam heating for heating, combining the advantages of both and greatly improving the heating efficiency.
Our marine calorifiers have been recognized by several members of the IACS classification societies and can provide classification certificates such as CCS, GL, EC, BV, LR, ABS, RMRS, USCG, NK, etc.
