Overview
Hisea Marine's premium zinc alloy sacrificial anode rods</strong> provide reliable, long-lasting cathodic protection for metal structures in seawater, fresh water, and soil environments. Engineered with over 99% zinc purity, our anodes offer superior galvanic current output and even corrosion sacrifice, ensuring your critical assets—from ship hulls to water tanks—are safeguarded against costly corrosion damage.
Specifications and Options
Thread type: There are usually metric threads and American threads, which should be selected with compatibility with other parts in mind.
Size: Size is selected according to the specific application needs, common diameter from a few millimeters to a few centimeters.
Surface treatment: some zinc bar surface will be passivated or coated to further enhance the anti-corrosion performance.
Primary Applications
Marine & Shipbuilding:Protection of ballast tanks, hulls, sea chests, rudders, and offshore platform jackets.
Industrial Water Systems:Hot water heaters, storage tanks, heat exchangers, and condenser tubes.
Pipeline & Infrastructure: Buried pipelines, well casings, and locks in soil or fresh water.
Power & Desalination Plants: Internal protection of circulating water systems and evaporator basins.
How Does a Zinc Sacrificial Anode Rod Work?
The principle is straightforward: cathodic protection</strong>. When connected to the protected metal structure (the cathode), the more electrochemically active zinc anode rod willingly “sacrifices” itself. It corrodes in place of the protected metal, thereby stopping the corrosion reaction on the critical asset. This system requires no external power source, making it a simple, reliable, and maintenance-friendly solution.
