Zinc Alloy Anode for Port and Ocean Engineering Facilities

Zinc Alloy Anode for Port and Ocean Engineering Facilities

Port engineering, usually involving the construction and maintenance of port and Marine facilities. In these environments, metal structures such asdocks, platforms, pipelines, etc. are exposed to seawater and are subject to electrochemical corrosion. In order to protect these metal structures, one of the commonly used methods is to install zinc anodes for cathodic protection.

Overview

Application of Zinc Anode in Port and Ocean Facilities

Docks: These structures are immersed in seawater for a long time, and the use of zinc anodes can effectively prevent corrosion and extend their service life.

Offshore platforms: Structures such as oil RIGS are exposed to highly corrosive environments, and zinc anodes provide continuous protection.

Hull: The hull of offshore vessels is also commonly protected by zinc anodes to reduce hull corrosion and extend maintenance periods.

Submarine pipelines: protect metal pipelines buried on the seabed from pipeline failure caused by seawater corrosion.
