What is Marine Safety Valve?

Marine Safety valve is based on the working pressure of the pressure system (operating temperature) automatically open and close, generally installed in closed systems of equipment or piping to protect the system safety. Marine Safety valves are mainly used in: steam boilers, LPG car tankers or LPG railway tankers, oil extraction wells, high pressure bypass of steam generating equipment, pressure pipelines, pressure vessels and so on.

Overview

Working Principle

When the pressure or temperature in the equipment or pipeline exceeds the set pressure of the marine safety valve, it automatically opens to relieve pressure or cool down, to ensure that the equipment and pipeline medium pressure (temperature) in the set pressure (temperature) below, to protect the normal operation of equipment and pipeline, to prevent accidents and reduce losses.

Main Structure

Marine Safety valves are generally divided into spring-loaded safety valves and lever-loaded safety valves, pulse safety valves, of which the spring-loaded safety valves are the most common; according to the connection is divided into threaded safety valves and flange safety valves.  Marine Safety valve calibre are generally not large, commonly used in DN15mm-DN80mm, more than 150mm are generally known as large diameter safety valve.
