What is HVAC Duct?

The scope of application of HVAC ducts is very wide. Purification system air supply and return duct, central air conditioning ventilation duct, industrial air supply and exhaust ventilation duct, environmental protection system suction and exhaust duct, mining gas extraction duct, mining rubber coated fabric duct, etc. Ventilation ducts are generally available in: round, rectangular, spiral, corrugated and so on.

Overview

Insulation thickness is another important factor affecting the effect of duct insulation, so it should be selected in accordance with the following requirements according to the specific circumstances:

1. The thickness of duct insulation should be based on the size, length, shape and environmental temperature and other factors for comprehensive consideration, the general requirements should be more than 40mm;

2. For some special areas, such as high altitude, extreme cold areas and areas susceptible to pressure or extrusion, the need for more stringent insulation thickness requirements.

The structure of the ventilation pipe mainly includes inlet pipe, outlet pipe and elbow.

1. The inlet pipe of centrifugal ventilator is generally to change the diameter of the inlet pipe, that is, the circular cross-section into a rectangular cross-section. And after a 90 ° elbow, as shown in the figure.

2. The outlet pipe of the centrifugal ventilator, when it is to be converted into a direction, should preferably be in the same direction as the flow of air in the extension, as shown in the following figure.

When the length of the outlet pipe joint is shorter and the radius of curvature is smaller, the deflector plate is installed in the elbow collar, as shown in the following figure.

3. The shape and size of the 90° rectangular elbow are shown in the figure. Its minimum inner radius of curvature shall not be less than that of the pipe diameter, and its minimum outer curvature shall not be less than that of the pipe diameter.
