Main Functions

The main function of vertical storm valves is to prevent seawater from backing up into the ship's piping system when the ship is at berth, so as to prevent seawater from contaminating or causing damage to the ship's equipment. Meanwhile, when the ship is sailing, these valves can effectively prevent the liquid from generating excessive pressure difference in the pipeline, reduce the load of the pipeline system, and ensure the safe operation of the ship.

Vertical storm valves are usually made of corrosion-resistant materials for long-term use in harsh environments such as seawater. They may also have an automatic shut-off feature to ensure that the valve can be closed in time to prevent liquid backflow when needed.
