Steel Elliptical Head
Stainless steel: Stainless steel head has the advantages of good corrosion resistance, high plasticity, high strength, etc. It is generally suitable for storage equipment under low temperature and high pressure.
Carbon steel: carbon steel head is more suitable for various equipment under low pressure and high temperature, its advantages are low price, high strength, easy to connect with other equipment and materials, its disadvantages are easy to rust and low corrosion resistance.
Alloy steel: alloy steel head is characterized by heat resistance and good corrosion resistance, often used in high temperature and high pressure storage device, kettle and reaction device.
Titanium alloy: Titanium alloy head is light and corrosion-resistant special material, which can be used in equipment storing corrosive substances such as high concentration of strong acid and strong alkali.

When selecting head material, factors such as pressure, temperature, medium corrosiveness, wear resistance and so on that the equipment needs to withstand should be considered comprehensively. For specific application, different manufacturing processes and materials should be selected according to the special performance requirements of the equipment.
For example, in the reactor for storing petrochemical substances, if different media contact is encountered, it is necessary to choose the head with high temperature and corrosion resistance characteristics, and it is recommended to choose special materials such as alloy steel or titanium alloy to ensure the safe and long-lasting operation of the equipment.
In a word, the selection and application of head material must take into account the physical properties, chemical stability, processing performance and structural integrity of the material so as to guarantee the reliability and safety of the equipment.
Purpose:
1. When the pipeline reaches the head and is not ready to be extended now, the head is welded to the pipeline and used as a tail end.
2. Used on pressure vessel, there is a head on the top and bottom, and a straight pipe section in the middle, used as a tank of pressure vessel.
Mechanical properties of ellipsoidal head are second only to hemispherical head, but superior to disk-shaped head. Because the depth of ellipsoidal head is in between hemispherical and disk-shaped head, the stipulation of stamping equipment and mold, the difficulty of manufacture is also between the two, i.e., it is easier than hemispherical head and tougher than disk-shaped head.
