Ship Launching Airbag

Ship Launching Airbag

Ship Launching Airbag, also known as ship airbag or ship rescue airbag, is an inflatable, buoyant and heavy rubber ship used for ship launching or landing. They are placed under the hull and then inflated to lift and move the ship in a short distance. This method is usually used for launching new ships or landing ships for maintenance or repair. Airbags provide cushioning effect and help to distribute the weight of the ship evenly during launching or landing. However, different ship types and DWT have different ways to place airbags when launching or landing, which can be seen in our other introductions. Launching ships with air bags is considered as an economical and efficient alternative to traditional launching methods such as dry dock or slide.
