The port forms of marine plug valve mainly includes straight through, three-way and four-way. The port forms of marine plug valves mainly include straight-through, three-way and four-way:
Straight Type Plug valves: the port of straight-through plug valves is directly connected with the same through diameter, the fluid can pass through the plug valve directly without being obstructed. This design is suitable for situations where minimum resistance and pressure drop are required.
Three-way Plug Valves: Three-way plug valves have one inlet and two outlets, or two inlets and one outlet. This design is used where there is a need to divert or combine fluids, such as controlling the flow direction or flow distribution of different pipelines in a marine system. The plug port of the three-way plug valve is L-type or T-type. There are three distribution forms for the L-type and four distribution forms for the T-type.
Four-way Plug Valves: 4-way plug valves have two inlets and two outlets. This design allows fluid to be switched between two different pipelines or diverted in two different directions if required. Four-way plug valves have ports with two L-type, which can have three distribution forms.
