The NS2589 Bulwark Mounted Mooring Chock is a marine device used to secure ship mooring lines. It is designed to be installed on the bulwarks and provide a stabilizing point for ropes or cables used in mooring operations. These chocks are typically made of cast steel and can withstand the harsh conditions of the marine environment.

Guide pulleys according to this standard have been approved by the Panama Canal Commission (PCC) for nominal size 300 x 250mm is specified in the PCC as a single chock and should be able to withstand 445 kN on the pull line. Nominal size 400 x 250mm is specified in the PCC as a double chock and should be able to withstand 625 kN on the pull line.
