Marine Polyamide Rope
1. Extremely High Strength and Buffering Capacity: the tensile strength of polyamide fiber ranks in the forefront of common synthetic fiber ropes, and its greatest feature is its high elasticity, which can effectively absorb the instantaneous impact force of ships due to wind and waves like a rubber band.
2. Good Environmental Resistance: this kind of rope has excellent wear resistance and excellent ultraviolet resistance, and has certain corrosion resistance to common acids, bases and oils.
3. Practical Performance: Compared with steel wire rope with the same strength, polyamide rope is much lighter in weight and more convenient to operate.
Overview
Polyamide rope, commonly known as nylon rope, is a kind of synthetic rope made from polyamide fibers. Nylon rope and polyamide rope are essentially the same. Nylon is a kind of polymer called polyamide, specifically, it is polyamide 6 or nylon 6. They are both used to refer to the same type of synthetic rope made from nylon or polyamide fibers.
Although polyamide rope have many advantages, they still have limitations in some applications. For example, they may not be suitable for use in high temperature environment, because the melting point of nylon is relatively low compared to some other synthetic ropes. In addition, polyamide ropes absorbs water, which can affect its strength and performance in some cases. Proper maintenance is very important for ensuring the life and performance of Polyamide ropes in various applications.
Selection and Use Suggestions:
1. Make clear the primary demand: If your operation is often hit and bumped (such as tugboats, fishing boats and yachts moored in open water), the high elasticity of polyamide rope is the most important advantage. If dimensional stability and super-long durability (such as long-term mooring buoys) are pursued, polyester ropes are better.
2. Pay attention to specification parameters: when choosing, please pay attention to diameter, breaking load and knitting structure (such as single-strand knitting and double knitting). Double braided structures are usually stronger and kink-resistant.
Certifications: ABS, CCS, ISO, NK, BV, LR, RS, etc.
Applications: Mooring rope, Anchored mooring rope, Tugboat rope, Beach rope, Fishery rope, tied work rope.
