Marine Immersion Suit


Marine immersion suits provide protection against cold water immersion, hypothermia, and harsh weather conditions in emergency situations. Typically made of CR neoprene, Terylene textile or other waterproof materials. Immersion suits are designed with features like sealed seams, integrated gloves, and a watertight zipper closure. They can be designed to be insulated immersion or be buoyant to help the wearer stay afloat and visible in the water, often equipped with reflective patches or signaling devices for increased visibility in low-light conditions or during search and rescue operations.

  • According to the thermal performance: insulated immersion suit, non-insulated immersion suit.

  • According to the material: CR neoprene type, Terylene textile type.

  • According to the buoyancy: marine immersion suit with life jacket, marine immersion suit without life jacket

Thermal performance

  • Insulated immersion suit: After immersing in the 0℃-2℃ calm water for 6h, the body core temperature shall not fall more than 2℃

  • Non-insulated immersion suit: The wearer in 5℃ water temperature in the static water after1 hours, hypothermia is not more than 2℃

 

Buoyancy of marine immersion suit without life jacket: more than 100N/142N

 

Test kit for immersion suit

Use air pump or external gas source, test the immersion suits air tightness by inflating gas to it, repair the air leakage part

Tools composition:

(1) 2 pcs face fixture, 1 pc pressure gauge, 1 set valve connection, 1 pc hand pump

(2) 1 pair Patch Fabrics,1 pc glue, 1 pc scissors, 1 pc hairbrush, 1 pc chalk
