Marine Hydraulic Combined Anchor Windlass
The hydraulic combined anchor windlass is a deck machinery of multiple functions used on ships and boats, especially some large ones. It is responsible for managing the anchoring process, which involves lowering and raising the anchor. It is driven by hydraulic system and thus is capable of lifting heavy loads. Overview
Unlike the electric and manual anchor windlass, hydraulic combined anchor windlass gets its power from a hydraulic system, which consists of a pump, a motor, a valve, oil and oil box. The hydraulic system features overload protection and provides high power and torque with high energy conversion efficiency. With manual proportional valve, the hydraulic combined anchor windlass can achieve step-less speed.
The hydraulic combined anchor windlass, together with the mooring and loads-lifting functions of the drum, is more efficient and has multiple purpose compared with the electric windlass or other normal anchor windlass without drum. The hydraulic combined anchor windlass also often incorporates safety features such as overload protection, emergency stop mechanisms, and fail-safe systems to prevent accidents and damage to the equipment.
