Marine Electric Anchor Windlass
The power source of the marine electric anchor windlass is an electric motor used to hoist and lower the anchor of a ship or boat. Electric motor drives the main shaft to rotate after the large and small gears in the reduction box achieve multi-stage deceleration. Due to the high reduction ratio requirements, the reduction mechanism is relatively large. Electric motors usually include variable frequency motors and fixed frequency motors, which can achieve single, double, and three speeds.
Overview
A marine electric anchor windlass is a mechanical device used for lifting and lowering anchors on ships driven by an electric motor. The electric anchor windlass is controlled by a switch or remote control, allowing the operator to easily operate the device from the helm or other convenient location on the boat. Some electric anchor windlasses also have a built-in brake system to securely hold the anchor in place once it has been raised or lowered. Benefits of using an electric anchor windlass include ease of use, as it eliminates the need for manual cranking or pulling of the anchor. It also provides more control and precision when raising or lowering the anchor, as the motor can be adjusted to the desired speed and direction. The electric windlass anchor winch is mainly used on small and medium-sized ships, and is generally suitable for anchor chains with a diameter of 16mm-93mm.
