Overview

Hydraulic mooring anchor windlass is an essential tool for ensuring safe and efficient anchoring and mooring operations in various marine environments. Proper selection, operation, and maintenance of this equipment are vital for the safety and efficiency of maritime operations.

It typically consists of a hydraulic motor, reduction gearbox, gypsy wheel, drum, brake and clutch. It can also be equipped with warping head if you need. The hydraulic pump, driven by the motor (or engine), draws hydraulic oil from the tank and pressurizes it, then delivers high-pressure hydraulic oil to the hydraulic motor through pipelines. The hydraulic motor rotates under the action of high-pressure hydraulic oil, driving the sprocket or drum to rotate. When it is necessary to anchor, the hydraulic motor drives the winch to rotate clockwise, retracting the anchor chain onto the ship; When it is necessary to anchor, the hydraulic motor drives the winch to rotate counterclockwise and release the anchor chain. The retraction of mooring ropes is also achieved by driving the drum with a hydraulic motor. Throughout the process, the working speed and torque of the anchor machine can be controlled by adjusting the pressure and flow rate of the hydraulic system.
