Gastight and Airtight Door


The airtight door integrates the functions of air-tight, sound insulation, heat preservation, pressure resistance, dust prevention and so on. The door body is equipped with professional vacuum air-tight tape around the use of unique compression technology to ensure that when the door is closed, it can be closely matched with the door frame to achieve reliable air-tight effect. Generally used in aerospace engineering, marine engineering, mechanical engineering and other places with high requirements for sound insulation, heat insulation, and air tightness, such as aircraft doors, nuclear power plants, and ship superstructures are useful to airtight doors.

Significance

With the rapid development of science, ships have higher and higher requirements for indoor air tightness. Ensuring the air tightness of the airtight door is an important guarantee to prevent air leakage or pressure loss in the equipment cabin, and is also a key device to prevent oil tanker leakage from burning or explosion. Therefore, the airtight door is not only related to the normal operation of the machine, but also related to the overall safety of the system.

Sealing mode

Marine airtight doors are usually sealed in two ways, which are: mechanical clamp seal and inflatable seal.

  • Mechanical clamp seal

The mechanical clamp seal is to press the seal strip tightly through the mechanical structure to make it airtight.

  • Inflatable seal

The sealing is that the door body is equipped with an airtight seal around the door, and the door frame is equipped with a pressure sensor and controller. When the air pressure sensor detects that the door body is in contact with the door frame, the controller will inflate the seal into the seal strip, so that it forms a complete seal with the door frame.

Density test

  • Blowing test

Close the airtight door, the inflatable seal is in working condition, and blow air at the door seam with air pressure of not less than 0.2MPa and a pipe with an outlet diameter of not less than 5mm. The other side of the door seam brush is coated with soapy water to test its air tightness.

  • Airtight smoke test

The airtight door is properly assembled in the test chamber according to the installation method of the real ship.  Ignite the smoke-generating substance in the test chamber.  Close the airtight door, the mechanical clamp device is in working state, and check the sealing performance of the door.

  • Air pressure test

The airtight door is properly assembled in the test chamber according to the installation method of the real ship.  Close the airtight door, inflate the seal strip (mechanical clamp device) is in working state, simulate the pressure inside the test chamber, so that the pressure difference reaches the specified value, after a certain time, detect the change of the pressure difference.
