Double flange limit expansion joint has a large expansion capacity, can withstand a certain amount of pressure thrust, mainly used to compensate for pipeline axial displacement due to thermal expansion and contraction or other reasons, to ensure the stability and safety of the pipeline system.

Structure

1. Flange connection: double flange limit expansion joint has two flanges for connection, through the bolt fastening, so that the expansion joint between the two flanges is tightly combined. This kind of connection makes the expansion joint has better sealing performance and higher bearing capacity.

2. Expansion mechanism: the expansion mechanism usually consists of one or two groups of bellows, which can freely expand and contract within a certain range to realize the expansion and contraction compensation of the pipeline, so as to adapt to the displacement change of the pipeline.

3. Limit device: the limit device usually consists of a group or two groups of limit steel plate, by adjusting the spacing of the limit steel plate, it can limit the maximum extension and compression of the expansion joint, so as to protect the expansion joint and pipeline safety.

4. Sealing ring: the expansion joint is usually equipped with high temperature, corrosion and abrasion resistant sealing ring to ensure that it has good sealing performance and long service life.

Installation steps

Check whether the parts are intact, and make sure the material of the seal ring is compatible with the pipeline medium.

Loosen the pressure plate nut for subsequent adjustment of the length of the expansion pipe.

According to the actual situation and pipeline design requirements, pull out the expansion pipe to the appropriate installation length.

Connect both ends of the adjusted expansion pipe with the pipeline flange, valve body or pump body flange on both sides respectively to ensure that the flange surface is flat, clean and free from defects such as corrosion and burrs.

According to the maximum and minimum length dimensions of the expansion pipe, adjust the position of the limit nut to reserve an appropriate expansion distance.

Use the “diagonal method” to press the pressure plate nut in parallel to check whether the sealing effect is good.
