Dish Head
Dish head is a continuous curved surface, in the connection of three parts, the radius of curvature of meridian has a sudden change, due to the change of curvature, thus there is bending stress. As a result of superposition of bending stress and tensile stress, the stress in this part is more prominent than that in other parts. Compared with ellipsoidal head, the stress distribution is not as uniform as it is, but the processing is easier, so it is not ideal in engineering use. However, when there is difficulty in machining the mold of ellipsoidal head, disc-shaped head is used instead.

Advantage:
1. Balanced force: the structure of dished head distributes the pressure evenly and can equalize the force;
2. Surface finish: the use of dished head structure can make the inner surface without connecting gaps and keep the surface finish;
3. Cost saving: the manufacturing cost of dished head is much lower than that of other head structures such as spherical, hemispherical, etc., which can save production cost;
4. Small volume: the height of dished head is small compared with round head and ball head, which can reduce the height of container and save space.
