Differences between marine air vents and grilles

An air vent is a device used to control the direction and flow of air in a ventilation and air conditioning system, usually installed indoors. The main purpose of the air vent is to regulate the indoor temperature, humidity, fresh air ventilation, etc. Grilles, on the other hand, are a building material with strong fire and safety properties, mainly used for fire separation, air filtration and protection.

Overview

Differences in usage:

In the ventilation system, the air vent can control the air flow direction and flow rate, so that the indoor air can be effectively regulated and circulated. Meanwhile, in the air conditioning system, the air outlet can also control the temperature and humidity of the supply and return air outlets to achieve a comfortable indoor environment.

Grills are needed in the air intake and outlet to keep debris and critters out and to ensure clean indoor air.

Differences in material:

Air vents usually use metal materials such as aluminum alloy, steel plate, and engineering plastics such as ABS plastic.

The grille, on the other hand, uses more steel, stainless steel, epoxy resin and other fireproof and corrosion-resistant materials.

Differences in structure:

The structural design of the air vent is usually simpler, mainly composed of air vent plate and deflector plate.

While the structure of the grille is more complex, it usually consists of a number of components such as steel mesh, fireproof board, steel frame and so on.
