Common Defects of Marine Mushroom Vents and Goose neck Vents

Venting pipes are used as ventilation ducts for air in and out of compartments, and are used for ventilation of aircraft cabins, cargo compartments, pump compartments, battery compartments, CO2 compartments, and closed places where people often go in and out of, so as to ensure that the main and auxiliary planes, galley stoves and other machines and equipment work normally, and that the people can breathe normally, as well as the goods in the cargo compartments can be ventilated.

Overview

Common defects of mushroom-type air vents:

1. The straight ladder is badly rusted, and the top cap of the ventilation cylinder, the enclosure plate, and the supporting elbow plate at the bottom of the cylinder are badly rusted or even pierced.

2The marking of handwheel switching direction is not clear, and the valve plate cover lifting indicator bar is invalid or missing.

3. The sealing packing of the weathertight cap is aged or lost, and the valve plate is deformed and seriously corroded, so that it cannot ensure that the seal is maintained with the top edge of the ventilator body; the insect-proof net is damaged.

4. The pressure injection oil cup that passes through the center of the top cap of the ventilator and the support bearing in the ventilator body lack lubricant for a long time, and the function of the oiling nozzle fails, resulting in that the handwheel is almost unable to rotate and the ventilator cannot be closed quickly.

Common defects of goose neck-type air vents:

1. The cover plate, the cylinder body and the supporting elbow plate at the bottom of the cylinder body are seriously corroded, or even pierced.

2. The sealing coil of the weathertight cover is aging or missing, and the cover plate is deformed and cannot ensure to keep sealing with the top edge of the ventilating cylinder body.

3. Insect screens are broken, spiral roll buckles are missing, hinge connections are invalid or missing, and the ventilator can not be closed quickly.
