Classification of Marine Air Receivers
Marine air receivers can be divided into various types according to different classification standards.
Divided into according to the structure: vertical (A type) air receiver, horizontal (B type) air receiver
Divided into according to the function: starting air receiver, control air receiver, whistle air receiver, and miscellaneous air receiver
Divided into according to working pressure: low-pressure air receiver, medium-pressure air receiver, and high-pressure air receiver
Scope of application: It is suitable for storing compressed air for starting the main and auxiliary engines of ships and sounding whistles. It can also be used as a gas source for pneumatic equipment.
Overview
1. Classified by structure:
Vertical air receiver - A type
Features: Saves deck area and facilitates pipeline layout.
Application: Commonly used in ship areas that require space saving.
Horizontal air receiver - B type
Features: Low center of gravity, good stability, suitable for installation in low spaces.
Application: Commonly used in ship areas that require high stability.
2. Classified by function
Start the air receiver
Purpose: To provide compressed air for starting the main and auxiliary engines.
Location: Usually installed near the main engine room and auxiliary machine room.
Control air receiver
Purpose: To provide compressed air for various automatic control equipment, including valve control, automation systems, etc.
Location: Installed near the control system.
Emergency air receiver
Purpose: To provide backup compressed air in emergency situations to ensure the safe operation of ship systems.
Location: Distributed in critical locations for emergency use.
other:
Air receiver for whistles and miscellaneous air receiver. Equipped with safety accessory interfaces such as pressure gauges and safety valves.
3. Classified by work pressure
Low pressure air receiver: a steel cylinder shaped container that stores compressed air with a working pressure of less than or equal to 3MPa.
Medium pressure air receiver: a steel cylinder shaped container for storing compressed air with a working pressure of less than 10MPa and greater than 3MPa.
High pressure air receiver: a steel cylinder shaped container that stores compressed air with a working pressure greater than or equal to 10MPa.
