A60 Marine Electrical Fire Damper

A60 Marine Electrical Fire Damper

A60 marine electrical fire damper suits for all kinds of vessels and offshore oil platform ventilation and air conditioning system. When a fire breaks out in a cabin, the fire damper can be closed manually or automatically, preventing flame from spreading to other cabins through ventilating pipe. It plays a role of isolating areas and ensuring the safety of vessels and platforms.

Overview

Malfunctions

If the power line is disconnected or the power supply is short-circuited, current cannot be transmitted to the control switch and the switch naturally will not respond.

Because of prolonged use, the internal parts of the control switch may be damaged or aged, resulting in the control switch not working properly.

If the original circuit was disassembled or changed when the control switch was previously repaired, it resulted in the switch not working properly.

There are some other reasons, such as water and excessive dust in the control switch, which may cause the problem of the control switch not responding.

Solutions:

First, check whether the power line is connected, whether the power plug is plugged in properly, and use a multimeter to check whether the power supply is normal.

If the power supply is normal, but the switch is still unresponsive, the control switch itself may be faulty. At this time, you need to check whether the internal parts of the switch is damaged or aging, and whether there is a short circuit and so on.

If the control switch has been previously serviced, we need to check whether there were any problems such as dismantling or altering the circuitry during the repair process, and thus troubleshoot the problem.

Control switches that are used frequently are especially prone to dust and water ingress. If too much dust or water builds up inside the control switch, it will not work properly. This is the time to try cleaning the control switch.

If none of the above troubleshooting methods solves the problem, then the control switch may be severely deteriorated and need to be replaced with a new one.
