A0-A60 Fire Damper
A0-A60 Fire Damper effectively prevents water, vapor, and smoke penetration and ensures normal operation in waterborne environments. It is especially suitable for cold and wet environments such as ships, offshore platforms and underground buildings. Fire ratings include: A0,A15,A30,A60.
Overview
Introduction:
The fire protection level and form of ship structure, different types of ships, different parts of the ship is divided into A, B, C three levels of fire resistance, A level is divided into four, B level is divided into two, C level is not divided and so on.
Class A separating construction shall be capable of preventing the passage of smoke and flame at the end of a standard one-hour fire test. It shall also be insulated with noncombustible materials applied in such a manner that the temperature on the backfire side does not increase by more than 139 degrees from the original temperature for varying periods of time in the rating, and does not exceed 180 degrees from the original temperature at any point, including any joints.
A-60: Able to withstand fire for 60 minutes in the early stages of a fire, usually used in high-risk areas such as engine rooms, cargo compartments, liquid and gas tanks.
A-30: Able to withstand 30 minutes of fire resistance at the beginning of a fire, usually used in highly carbonized areas and areas with potential sources of ignition on board.
A-15: Able to withstand fire for 15 minutes in the early stage of fire, able to effectively isolate the spread of smoke and flame before the fire spreads.
A-0: Does not have fire protection capability and is only used for isolation of partitions. The main function of this type of damper is to block the spread of smoke and flame and keep the rest of the ship safe.
