Marine Oil Water Separator

Outstanding Marine Oil Water Separators, Leading a New Journey of Marine Environmental Protection

Marine oil water separators are special equipment used to treat oily sewage from ships and enable the treated water to meet the discharge standards for protecting the marine environment. They are widely used in various types of ocean-going ships.

They operate based on the following principles:

Gravity separation: Utilizing the difference in density between oil and water, oil droplets float upwards to achieve preliminary separation.

Coalescence separation: Special coalescence materials are used to coalesce tiny oil droplets into larger ones, thereby enhancing the separation efficiency.

Filtration separation: Multiple layers of filter screens or filtering media are employed to intercept oil droplets and impurities.

The oil content in bilge water is separated and treated so that the bilge water can meet the relevant discharge requirements stipulated in IMO MEPC.107(49) Resolution.
